From gentle enzyme peels that work on the top layer of the skin, to more intense resurfacing peels that penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. Our skin experts will take you through a consultation process to ensure you and your skin are well-prepared before proceeding with any one of the peels we offer.
So how do they work? 🤔
If you think of enzymes as little PacMen eating away at the glue that holds the dead skin cells together, therefore promoting exfoliation of said cells that are sitting on the top layer of your skin. Removing that layer of dead skin cells means the nutrients from the peel and any other products applied afterward will be absorbed a lot quicker and easier, helping them to penetrate deeper into the skin where our main target point is.
What will I experience?
In treatment - Depending on the strength, you may feel anything from slight warmth and tingling to heat, similar to opening your oven door or sitting right infront of the fire. We apply a thick, cold alginate mask afterward to help cool the skin back down, while also increasing the blood flow within the skin.
At home - Your skin will be glowing right after a peel 😍 and yet again depending on the strength of the peel treatment, you may experience simply beautiful glowing skin all the way up to some heat, dryness and potentially flaking or purging over the next few days. Our advice, treat it like a sunburn and keep away from heat-induced activities e.g. saunas or sweating in the gym.
Keep the skin hydrated and the biggest one of all: SPF!! Rain or shine.
