Alpha Beta Peel

Benefits: Aimed at rejuvenating and improving the skin’s overall appearance, this peel targets fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation. It combines alpha and beta hydroxy acids to exfoliate the skin, unclog pores, and promote a clearer, more radiant complexion.
Sensation: Heat and mild stinging due to the alpha and beta hydroxy acids exfoliating the skin. This can be a 10/10 sensation peel. Mild to heavy peeling will occur 2-4 days later. Skin can feel dry/tight for up to 2 weeks after.
Perfect for: An advanced peel, only suitable for clients whose skin has been prepped with active skincare. Thick photo damaged skins, acne, congestion, pigmented skins benefit from this peel. Not for Fitzpatrick 4, 5 and 6.

Is a chemical peel good for your skin?

The peel serves as an exfoliator by removing dead skin cells on the surface. The removal of the outer layer promotes your skin’s ability to produce collagen, a structural protein, which helps fill in your acne scars. A good peel will even unclog pores to help prevent future breakouts from occurring.

How long do chemical peels last?

A light peel or superficial peel will usually produce results that can last for one to two months, whereas a medium peel can last for six months. If you need to use a deep peel, such as to target extreme sun damage or address medical dermatology concerns, those results will typically last a lifetime.

Who should avoid getting a chemical peel?

Anything more than a fruit or enzyme peel is not recommended for anyone who is pregnant or nursing, or has inflamed acne. Those who have sunburn or are taking Accutane should avoid a peel treatment. People who use retinoids can get a chemical peel but must stop using the product three to four days before treatment.
