Why You Should Get Professional Waxing

No Shaving Rash

Waxing is a great choice for people with sensitive skin. Instead of using blades or chemicals, it only involves pulling hair out at the root so there's no risk of unsightly rashes or nicks!

Convenient

Waxing is quick! With a tiny bit of planning, you can always make it to your appointment. Waxing lasts much longer than shaving or depilatory creams so there is no need for touch-ups every couple of days.

About Bryndwr, Christchurch

Bryndwr, a suburb located in the north-west region of Christchurch, New Zealand. Its name literally means “hillside by water” and was probably named after the slopes that run alongside the Waimairi and Wairarapa streams. This suburb is also one of few in New Zealand to have a Welsh name. Charles Alured Jeffreys, Machynlleth (Wales) gave it this name. After Thomas Parr, his father-in law, gave him 100 acres of land in 1851, he began farming this area. The land was further divided in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. The subdivision included the land that was once the Bateman farm on Greers Road. It extended north from Wairakei Road and Memorial Avenue to the Greer homestead, built in 1878.
At the 2018 New Zealand census, Bryndwr was home to 9,288 people. According to the 2006 census Bryndwr had a slightly more diverse population than the Canterbury region average. There are higher proportions of Asian, Middle Eastern, and Pacific ethnicity in Bryndwr, as well as a higher percentage of people who were born abroad and those who speak a second languages.

Bryndwr is an older suburb with well-established cultural, sporting, and commercial facilities. There are two supermarkets and a Council Service Centre.

Fendalton Village and Elmwood Village are some of the most popular shopping areas in the area. Jellie Park and Edgar Macintosh Park are some of the most prominent parks in the region.

Bryndwr has many schools. These include Wairakei School and Allenvale School. St. Patrick’s School is also nearby. All of these schools are coeducational. The suburb also prioritizes elderly housing, and care. Residents over 60 can find a variety of privately-owned rental properties in Bryndwr, as well retirement villages and residential areas.

Many waterways running through Bryndwr are tributaries of the Avon River. These waterways include Dudley Creek and Wai iti Stream. There are also several churches that cater to different faiths such as Anglican, Catholic, Baptist, Methodist and Anglican.
